Calling all developers, designers, makers, mixers, mashers, tinkerers, philosopher-mechanics and sales engineers! Join us in helping to define and build the Internet of Things on Global Internet of Things Day! Use Pachube if you want, or build on other APIs - make something physical, or virtual; hardware or software; conceptual or practical - the point is for us to spend 24 hours connecting up our things to the web, our environments to our things, and our things to US! Starts on April 8, 2011 at 2pm UK time (which is 10pm in Tokyo, 11pm in Sydney, 6am in San Francisco) and goes on for 24 hours until 2pm (UK time) on April 9, 2011.
- Time - Starts Friday April 8, 2011 at 2pm London time. Ends Saturday April 9, 2011
- Location - The main event is in London, but there are sister events in 6 other cities. See below for full information for each location.
- What should I do? - Anything goes! Hardware, software, web app, mobile app, sensor system, interactive space, visualization, tool, gadget, performance... There will probably be a little of everything. If you are stuck for ideas, either call for collaborators in the comments below, or think about building something for the Pachube + Chumby competition or the Pachube + Twilio competition.
- What should I bring? - Whatever you're going to work with: laptops, arduinos, bluetooth devices, sensors, modems... Chances are there will people with extras, but make sure you have something to start with. Oh, and given that this is a 24 hour event you might want to bring a sleeping bag...
- How do I tell people what I've done? - Blog, tweet, post, comment. But also, we will be introducing the beta version of our new app-hosting platform so that you can publish your apps and make them available directly to other Pachube users - details coming soon.

Re: Pachube International Internet of Things Hackathon - ...
Anyone from other cities want to do a video skype with London #pachubehack? Add 'pachube.support' as a skype contact!
Is anyone looking for collaborators?
I'm in New York. Got some experience with C++, Java, PHP and Javascript. I've never done anything with arduino, but I would love to. Or make some web app mashup. I'm dfo at irc, @dfobox on twitter and skype.
